Margaret Gray from Hartlepool, tragically lost both her husband Harry aged 67 and then in 2007 her son Stephen aged 44 lost his fight to mesothelioma.
Margaret, daughter Carole Orton and Stephens partner Diane Hurst were determined to raise vital funding for research into mesothelioma while raising awareness of this terrible disease that devastates the lives of so many. Margaret and Carole have set up the first MKMRF’s Snow drop Memorial Fund in their memory. The Snowdrop was chosen as after the depth of winters it symbolises new hope and promise for the future
Margaret Gray and Diane Hurst’s fundraising evening held on 10th November raised £3,080 in memory of Harry and Stephen Gray who both lost they fight to mesothelioma.. The evening was particularly poignant as it would have been Stephens 45th Birthday. ‘Silk Stockings’ provided the entertainment and a charity auction was also held.
