Customs House - Swing into Style

The Gazette’s fashion show has raised thousands for worthy causes since it began six years ago. The event is always a fantastic night out of fashion, fun and games. The Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund was once again one of the chosen charities along with Cancer Connections.

The shows raise much needed cash for local charities as well as launching young models on their chosen path. Chris Knighton, Anne Craig, Scilla Thompson, Susan Gordon, Carol White and Joanne Thoms from the North East Mesothelioma Self help Group modelled evening wear from L’amour Bridal. During the show the ladies all affected by mesothelioma spoke on stage about their experiences and the support and comfort the Self help group has been to them. £1,140 was donated on the night.

Thank you to the people of South Tyneside and the Shields Gazette.
