Lung Run 2007
Hundreds of runners braved the bad weather on Saturday (June 16, 2007) to take part in the British Lung Foundation’s Lung Run.The event in Jesmond Dene, Newcastle, raised £3,600 for the Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund.
More than 200 people took part in the run despite the heavy rain over recent days, including Big Brother star Anthony Hutton, who won the sixth series of the reality television show.
Chris said: "We are delighted with the turn out for this year’s Lung Run especially considering the terrible weather we have had over recent days."
"It is great to see so many people from all ages and backgrounds taking part in this event and raising money towards such an important cause.“I would like to thank all those who took part and those who helped make it such a successful day."
