Sadly Roy Alcock passed away on 10th September 2007 aged 62years. His son Garry vowed to raise funds to help research into mesothelioma, in memory of his father.

True to his word,on the 22nd August 2009 ,Garry took part in a 14,000 ft parachute jump at Cark Airfield in Cumbria.

With the help and support of Skydivers, Adrian Rogers, Steven Edge,Steven Millward and Rich Connelly, along with Garry’s brother,Mark, staff at the Vocational College, Fairy Engineering, and Northwest Parachute Centre and of course Garrys mum, Linda Alcock – “the best mum ever” Garry raised a fantastic £1,400!

Garry is extremley grateful for their generosity and support and so are we!

Look out for amazing pictures of the skydive coming very soon
