On 28th June 2009 the first Stan Crowley match took place on Morgans Pond in Newport South Wales.
The event was organised by his lifelong club the Cardiff Nomads Angling Club to honour Stan’s memory.
The match was a sell out and the winner recieved a trophy and prize money and presented with a Memorial Shield. A great time was had by all and a total of £368.00 was raised towards Stan’s Memorial Fund.
