Viva Las Vegas Ball May 2010 Raises £5,000!

The evening began with a drinks reception, sponsored by Thompsons Solicitors and   Las Vegas Show Girls welcomed the guests as they arrived. Look up your picture on the Showgirls Welcome Page.

After a delicious meal, Chris Knighton welcomed everyone to the Research Fund’s 8th Anniversary. 
 Honoured guests included, Chair of North Tyneside Council, Councillors Michael and Marion Huscroft, Mayor Elect of Gateshead, Councillor Michael Hood.
Members of both  Sheffield and Rotherham Asbestos Support Group and the Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group joined us on the evening,  as did people from as far away as West Lothian and Plymouth.

Guests could then try their luck at the Fun Casino, on either the Roulette Table sponsored by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors or Black Jack . A further option was the One Armed bandits machines!

Guests were encouraged to “Blow their money on a worthy cause” as the Casino winner would recieve £500 of Thomas Cook Holiday Vouchers, kindly donated by Wendy and Barry Tweddle.

The Midnight Draw included, £500 Thomas Cook Holiday Vouchers from Wendy and Barry Tweddell, Theatre Presentation pack from Mesothelioma Self-help Group, Anna and John Latty donated a spirits hamper in memory of grandad, Bill.

A Quality Break for two, was donated by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors while Millennium Balloons gave a £100 Party Warehouse voucher. Cadbury’s/Bourneville supplied a Chocolate Heaven hamper and Thompsons Solicitors a Fenwicks hamper. The draw finished with prizes from Beauty Box and Brenda Conboye and Travel Link.
