  • Always Carry Your Sponsor Form

You never know who you might meet unexpectedly!
  • Work At It

Most people give money to charity but few go out of their way to do so. The more you ask the more money you will raise.
  • Target

Tell people that your ain is to raise £500. This is an impressive sum and people will be motivated by your determination to achieve it.
  • Franchise

Give sponsor forms to friends and family and ask them to approach people for you. Photocopy your form or ask us for more.
  • Psychology

Make sure that you get your top sponsor first. By having your most generous sponsor at the top of the form others will follow suit and possibly give you more than they would have otherwise.
  • Companies

Send letters to local companies to sponsor you for a minimum of £50. Does your employer operate a matched funding scheme? If not, ask whether they would consider matching whatever you raise. This could lead to some good publicity for you and them...
  • Media

Write to your local paper asking them to do a piece about your fundraising efforts and to encourage their readers to sponsor you.
  • Smile

Be happy when raising your sponsor money. NEVER feel guilty about asking people, they can afford it or you would not ask. You are doing something immensely worthwhile so remember to feel good about it.
  • Mesothelioma Research

depends upon people asking others to give money.
  • Good Luck and Thank You!
