Whitley Bay Playhouse
Thousands of pounds were raised at a sell-out concert organised by the Rotary Club of Monkseaton Centenary in aid of the Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund and Grace House North East Children’s Hospice Appeal.
Special guest compere Kathy Secker introduced the Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and the Backworth Male Voice Choir who jointly presented a musical celebration in music and song ranging from the Dam Busters march to a medley of World War songs and music and song from stage and screen.
Special thanks to Kathy Secker, President Celia Leach of the Rotary club of Monkseaton centenary, The Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and Backworth Male Voice Choir for their contribution to what was a very enjoyable evening.
